What is Gallup Rooted?
Rooted is a movement geared toward young adults in the Gallup area with the intention of reigniting our passion for God and becoming His hands and feet in our community. We hope to fellowship with one another and become rooted in God's Word together. We will be a light in our community, serving our neighbors and showing love, grace, and compassion to those around us.
What does it mean to be
rooted in Christ?
Colossians 2: 6-7 says "So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness." Once we receive Christ into our lives, we are called to act accordingly. God's Word (the Bible) gives us instructions for how we are to respond to the salvation we have received by Christ's death and resurrection. Because of that, we should study His Word daily. Rooted Gallup strives to encourage young adults to pursue Christ by reading the Bible and rooting themselves in the Word of God. We also encourage these young adults to fellowship with one another in order to build community and serve God as one people.
